R/F Calculator for Slabs

R/F Calculator

Area (m2):

Diameter (mm):

Top Bars Space (mm):

Bottom Bars Space (mm):

Number of Mesh (Nr):

Weight (kg)
R/F Required

From this R/F calculator for slab can calculate the approximate weight for a particular RCC slab. Wastage and allowance for the laps have not been considered in this calculator.

Area:Area of the slab you need to calculate the reinforcement weight. The area should be entered in square metres.(1m2=10.76sq.ft=9.29 sqr)

Diameter: Dimeter of the Reinforcement steel bar. Dimension should be entered in mm

Spacings: Spacing of bars for top and bottom of the mesh can be separately entered since spacing of top and bottom bars can be different. Dimension should be entered in mm

Then enter the number of meshes because some RCC concrete slabs have two meshes place in both bottom and top.

Reinforcement Usage & Calculation In Construction

Reinforcement can be recognized as the one of the most important components in any type construction. (especially in high rise buildings, road and bridge constructions, etc.). Most of the time reinforcement is used in concrete to give it a considerable tensile strength as normal mass concrete struggle where higher tension is applied. Therefore, a huge amount of reinforcement need to be included in concrete structures that directly affect the cost of the project. In that case, engineers should have a keen knowledge to design structural design the way that reinforcement usage is lower as possible wherever possible. Since reinforcement is one of the concerning cost factors it is essential to estimate how much will be the cost for reinforcement.

From the above equation, we can calculate the per meter weight of a rebar with the diferent diameteres. If we can remember this equation, we don't have to remember the per meter weight for every bar because this equation can find them easily without any errors.
